Ayantika Saha | ayantis@bu.edu

Ayantika is a PhD candidate in the Physics Department at Boston University. Hailing from India, she earned her bachelor’s degree in physics from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and her master’s degree in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK), where she conducted research on eco-evolutionary models to address the "Tragedy of the Commons." At the Larkin Lab, Ayantika focuses on unraveling the biophysical properties of bacterial biofilms that influence their morphology. Her current research delves into the physical mechanisms behind the "wrinkling" in Bacillus subtilis biofilms.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Ayantika enjoys traveling to new destinations and experimenting with cooking dishes from various cultures.
